Bangladesh Golf Academy (BGA) was opened on 09 June 2015. It was inaugurated by General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, SBP,psc, the Ex chief of army staff, Bangladesh army and president Bangladesh Golf Federation(BGF). Maj Gen Masud Razzak, ndc, afwc, psc was the first Chairman of BGA.
The academy has started its journey with multifaceted undertakings including players’ development, turf management, fitness, psychological development and education on coaching and rules. Besides, it has also undertaken general education programs – independently or being affiliated with reputed schools.
Beside the full time entrants, the academy will run short time specific programs for amateurs and professionals. A set of highly dedicated and qualified teaching professionals are being drawn for the purpose. The academy, because of the proximity to a vibrant golf course, driving/ practice range and other facilities is set to yield maximum.
